Cabinet water softener holding 20 L of resin (supplied and pre-loaded) and fitted with a Fleck 5600 MV mechanical meter-controlled valve.

This softener with its Fleck valve will reduce your water hardness by removing limescale throughout your home.
The softened water it produces will extend the life of your household appliances, make cleaning easier and help you get rid of white limescale marks throughout your home. The Fleck 5600 MV water softener comes complete and pre-loaded with resin, with all the installation accessories, our installation and user guide, a filter and a water hardness test kit.
This unit is correctly sized for a household of 1 to 4 people.

The Fleck 5600 MV valve, made by world leader PENTAIR, is exceptionally reliable thanks to its robust, straightforward design. The regeneration cycle starts once the programmed treatment volume has been used. The treatment volume must be calculated from the application, the resin volume and the incoming (raw) water hardness, so that regeneration starts before the resin is exhausted. Our food-grade ion-exchange resin carries the French ACS drinking-water approval, so your softened water is safe to drink without any additional treatment equipment. Its high exchange capacity means lower salt consumption and a longer service life. A correctly sized and properly maintained water softener has an estimated lifespan of 15 years.

Our included installation kit makes fitting your softener quick and easy, while providing effective pre-filtration. The kit contains: 1 complete 9¾" protective filter housing with a 20 µm microfibre cartridge, brass nipples, wall bracket and housing spanner; 1 water hardness test kit; 1 mini pipe cutter; 2 × 18 mm push-fit connectors and 3 × 100 cm braided stainless steel hoses (female/female, with elbow). 16 mm or 22 mm push-fit connectors can also be ordered from our Plumbing Tools category.

The water softener comes with a bypass valve made of Noryl. This lets you isolate the softener from your water supply without having to disconnect it. A simple quarter turn switches you from softened water to hard water and back again. Handy for saving softened water on non-domestic uses such as garden watering, livestock or pressure washers.

Extended warranty: 7 years with our annual maintenance kitOur video tutorials and our chat and phone support team are on hand Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm (French time), at every stage, from installation and commissioning through to setting up your water softener. All parts are fully replaceable and readily available (N.B. the drain hose can be raised up to 3 m above floor level at 3 bar water pressure, so the softener can be installed in a cellar without a drain pump). To make sure your water softener is completely watertight, we also recommend applying the silicone grease supplied to the softener's O-rings when fitting the bypass valve. Finally, we strongly recommend fitting a filter upstream of the softener's water inlet (included with our models supplied complete with accessories) to protect it from debris and extend its service life.Find all our practical advice on the blog!
